5 Farmhouse Bedroom Decor Inspirations

When our guests come to visit, I enjoy creating a relaxing environment for them to feel at ease. Today I'm going to show you some of the details from our modern farmhouse guest bedroom! Continue reading to see the 7 Farmhouse Bedroom Decor Ideas I used to style our guest bedroom!

1. Farmhouse Style Rug

I was surprised to learn that it is handwoven in India from recycled plastic bottles! It's surprisingly comfortable to walk on, and it doesn't shed! Don't even get me started on those fringed edges (I'm obsessed!).

I made the DIY yarn wall hanging for this room to add texture to the walls and to bring in more of the burn orange color. I love how a simple piece can add so much interest to a room.

2. Farmhouse Style Decor

This old jewelry storage vanity that used to be my grandmother's is now at the foot of the bed. Although I adore this piece, I would prefer to get a dresser for this room so that guests can store their belongings. For the time being, the vanity will suffice until I can find the perfect dresser for the space.

3. Farmhouse Style Nightstands

My favorite part of the room are the nightstands! They're also from Target, and I love how well they complement the farmhouse bedroom theme. They appear to add just the right amount of warmth to the room. I styled them primarily with items from my own closet, as well as a few thrift store/clearance isle finds.

I like that they have two drawers for guests to keep their small belongings during their stay. Also, how adorable is that 'Be Happy' sign I got from Kohl's? It seemed like the ideal little bedside reminder to me.

4. Rustic Metal Bed Frame

This farmhouse style bedroom would be incomplete without the stunning farmhouse style metal bed frame.

Update: This farmhouse style metal bed frame has seen a lot of use over the last few years and has held up very well! We still enjoy it and highly recommend it!

I like how the bed frame adds a rustic yet classic feel to the room.

5. Linen Bedding

Linen is a classic-looking textile that can add a subtle hint of farmhouse style to any room.

I chose a linen comforter set from Target for the bedding (we have the matching duvet cover set in our master bedroom!). I then paired it with a lightweight grey blanket for added warmth on the cold Montana nights.

For a 'lived in' look, I topped the bedding with a cozy knit throw. This burnt orange throw (similar) was the perfect pop of color to liven up this space.
